Two cultures. Two families. One beautiful beginning.

With full hearts and so much excitement, we invite you to celebrate the beginning of our next chapter together.

From Zimbabwe to Finland, and everywhere life has taken us in between, our story has brought together people, places and traditions that mean the world to us.

We cannot wait to celebrate with our favourite people, surrounded by love, laughter, music and a whole lot of dancing.

Dress to Celebrate!

Dress Code: Garden Formal

We're celebrating love in full colour, and we'd love for you to join us!

Think elegant gowns, beautifully tailored suits, vibrant colours, playful prints and statement silhouettes. This is your invitation to dress up, express yourself and bring a little glamour to the garden!

African prints and traditional cultural attire are warmly encouraged, provided they reflect the formal nature of the occasion.

As we'll be celebrating in a garden setting, we recommend choosing footwear that's comfortable on grass.

Come dressed to impress, ready to celebrate, dance and make memories with us!

A little note on attire: This is a formal celebration, so please avoid jeans, shorts, T-shirts, sneakers and other casual clothing. We also kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing white, ivory or bridal-inspired outfits, as these are reserved for the bride.

FAQs

Are children invited?

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We kindly ask that you make childcare arrangements in advance. Thank you for understanding!

Can I bring a gift?

Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for!

For those who would like to bless us with something extra, we would gratefully appreciate a monetary gift in lieu of physical presents, as we'll be travelling after the wedding.

If you'd prefer to arrange a gift electronically, please get in touch with us for the details.

What will the weather be like?

December is summertime in Zimbabwe! Expect warm temperatures, plenty of sunshine and the possibility of afternoon showers.

As we'll be celebrating partly outdoors, we recommend dressing comfortably for the warm weather while keeping our Garden Formal dress code in mind.

Is parking available?

Yes! There is plenty of free parking on site at Siyekhaya Estate. Please enter through the main gate, where our parking marshals will show you the way.

Security will be on duty at the parking gate and around the venue throughout the celebration.

Coming by ride share? Drop-off is inside the venue, so you'll be right where you need to be. The venue is also wheelchair accessible.

Who should I contact with questions?

Zimbabwe Travel Guide

Welcome to Zimbabwe

For many of you, this will be your first visit to Zimbabwe, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome you!

Whether you're travelling from near or far, we've put together a little guide to help make your journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

We hope you'll have some time to explore, soak up the sunshine, enjoy the food and experience a little of what makes Zimbabwe so special to us. We can't wait to celebrate with you in Harare!

Before You Fly

Which airport should I fly into?

Please book your flights to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport (HRE), Harare's main international airport. Depending on where you're travelling from, you may need to connect through another international airport.

Do I need a visa to visit Zimbabwe?

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the passport you're travelling on. We recommend checking Zimbabwe's official immigration website well in advance of your trip to confirm whether you need a visa and how to obtain one. You should also ensure your passport meets the applicable validity and entry requirements.

Do I need travel insurance or vaccinations?

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, unexpected cancellations and travel disruptions. Before travelling, consult your doctor or a travel health clinic about recommended vaccinations and any health precautions relevant to your itinerary. Yellow fever vaccination documentation may be required if you're arriving from or transiting through certain countries.

What will the weather be like in December?

December is summertime in Zimbabwe! Expect warm temperatures, plenty of sunshine and the possibility of afternoon showers or thunderstorms, as December falls within Zimbabwe's rainy season. We recommend packing lightweight clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent and a light rain jacket or umbrella.

Getting Around Harare

What is the best way to get around Harare?

For guests visiting Zimbabwe for the first time, we recommend arranging transport with a trusted local driver. Our wedding planner, Thelma, can assist with recommended drivers for airport transfers, sightseeing and getting around Harare during your stay.

Please contact Thelma via WhatsApp for driver recommendations and contact details.

What currency should I bring?

US dollars are widely accepted in Zimbabwe, alongside the local currency. We recommend bringing some clean, newer USD notes in smaller denominations for everyday purchases, tips and transport. Card payments are available at many hotels, restaurants and larger establishments, but we recommend keeping some cash on hand, as card acceptance and ATM availability can vary.

Will my phone work in Zimbabwe?

We recommend arranging mobile data before travelling so you can stay connected from the moment you arrive. International eSIM providers such as Airalo and Saily offer prepaid data plans for Zimbabwe. Please check that your phone supports eSIM technology and that your chosen plan covers your travel destinations. Alternatively, you can check international roaming with your mobile provider or purchase a local SIM card after arrival.

WhatsApp is widely used in Zimbabwe for messaging and calls, so we recommend having it installed before your trip.

What type of power plugs are used in Zimbabwe?

Zimbabwe operates on a 240V electricity supply, with Type D and Type G plugs commonly used. We recommend bringing a universal travel adapter, particularly if you're travelling from Australia, Europe or North America.

Is Harare safe for visitors?

As with any international destination, we recommend taking sensible precautions while exploring Harare. Use trusted transport providers, avoid walking alone in unfamiliar areas after dark, keep valuables secure and remain aware of your surroundings. We also recommend checking your government's latest travel advice before departure.
